Nerul - Navi Mumbai
A trustee of the South Indian Education Society stated, that major universities and academic institutions in the country have drawn inspiration from life like huge idols in their campuses. A well-thought proposal to consecrate Lord Hanuman at the academic complex, Nerul was conceived, since it was felt there could be no other who could be as inspiring to the youth of today as Lord Hanuman.
Hanuman is considered one of the most enchanting figures of our Puranas. Be He called Anjaneya, Hanuman or Bajrang Bali. Millions all over the world seek HIM for solace in times of trouble, courage to face the world, and determination to achieve the impossible.

The tallest monolithic granite idol of Hanuman in the country
The thirty-three feet idol, "Vishwaroopa Anjaneya Swamy", in a standing posture, is made out of a
single granite stone specially selected for the purpose, under the guidance of the Kanchi Seers by

The Hanuman idol
The Hanuman idol was made near Chennai and was transported by road. The idol stands on a lotus pedestal, with hands folded in prayer, and eyes are seen in meditation. He wears kundalam in His ears, keuryaha (armlet), three kankanas (bangles), and thandai in His lotus feet. His lankulam is seen resting on the ground giving a picture of a perfect pious person though highly talented in all qualities. Who else could be an exemplary for the youth of today who are studying in this complex.
